It’s fall, y’all! Even though COVID-19 has changed things quite a bit, there are still tons of fun, safe activities to do around town this fall. So follow along with us as we share five of the best autumn activities in Charlotte.

Visit Aw Shucks! Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch

Looking for something new to do this fall? Aw Shucks Farms changes its corn maze designs every year. And 2020 is no exception! Bring your family or quarantine crew to Charlotte’s most elaborate corn maze and pumpkin patch. Our personal favorite part? The bonfires! And don’t forget to visit the animal barn to pet and feed the goats, pigs, turkeys and other farm animals.

Host A Socially-Distanced Fall Grill-Out

There’s no better way to celebrate the changing leaves and perfect temperatures than grilling out with friends and family. Especially during this COVID-19 season, getting outdoors is a great way to socialize safely. Here at Broadstone Queen City, we love to see our residents enjoy this perfect weather with our beautiful courtyard and grilling stations.

Cheer On The Carolina Panthers

Professional football is back! And we’re rooting for the Carolina Panthers, of course. While Broadstone Queen City residents may not get to enjoy the perks of living so close to the stadium in 2020, you can still cuddle up on the couch and cheer the Carolina Panthers on to victory this fall. If you want to invite other local fans to join your watch party, you can purchase these Carolina Panthers face masks to wear during the game.

Walk to Wooden Robot Brewery

Living right in the heart of Charlotte certainty has its perks—like being in walking distance to local restaurants and breweries. One of our favorites is Wooden Robot, an urban farmhouse brewery that’s proudly located right here in Charlotte. Take a stroll through the neighborhood and pop in for one of their innovative brew flavors. We love their Sweater Weather, Sweet Tater Pie and Big Red Toboggan beers.

Check Out the Colorful Views at Crowders Mountain

Less than an hour outside Charlotte is Crowders Mountain State Park. At 1,705 feet elevation, you’ll get the most colorful views in town. With 25-mile views, eleven hiking trails, and various rock climbing opportunities, Crowders Mountain is an adventurer’s dream. Grab your backpack, water bottle, and camera for an afternoon trip you won’t regret.
